Comparison reflects publicly stated rates as of 2026-05-03. Patreon's effective rate is lower because of payment-processor fees on top of their stated cut. CCBill direct integrations save on platform fees but add development cost and chargeback exposure.
Why our share doesn't come at your expense
Aura runs on USDC over Cloudflare R2 + a Hetzner-class VPS. Our fixed costs are a fraction of what legacy adult platforms pay (Visa/MC interchange, processor fees, fraud teams, chargeback insurance). We pass that saving back as a higher creator share. The contract enforces the math on every payment.
